Description
The Ellwood Manufacturing Company controlled the patent for the most common style of barbed wire used in the United States, as well as woven wire fencing marketed to railroads, and operated a fleet of colorfully painted billboard boxcars to deliver their product. Letters one car.
Please be aware that this decal set is printed using a subtractive (CMYK) printing process. When removed from the paper backing, the color on the film is translucent, and will only work on models painted in light, neutral colors such as white, cream, pale yellow, or light gray. The lettering is NOT opaque and will not work on dark paint or vivid colors.
We do not know exactly what color the real cars were painted but based on historic paint practices it was likely a cream as depicted in the artwork. The HO scale lettering is sized to fit a Bitter Creek Models K-24 34-foot boxcar kit but is easily adaptable to any 34-foot or similar length model.
