Description

The Illinois Central was slow to keep up with the times; boxcars built in the 1870s were still on the roster through the 1890s! This decal set allows you to letter two different options, a 28 foot car built in the 1870s and a 35 foot car built between 1885 and 1890. HO set letters three complete cars; O scale set letters two complete cars.

Lettering options: For the 28 foot car, add the capacity data if representing it as it appeared after 1890. If building the model to represent pre-1890 omit it.
